DEP alerts FOTHR - special meeting of 7 year closure of 95 boat ramp and boat traffic

A last minute notice from the DEP pertaining to a meeting about the rebuilding of the 95 Housatonic Bridge is scheduled for Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Flood Middle School in Stratford.

Items discussed will be the closing of the Housatonic 95 boat ramp, re-routing of all boat traffic, and any other items you attending bring out. All those interested and concern please attend.

so what in fact happened

so what in fact happened here? i took a gamble and went down to the 95 ramp in devon, only to find quite a bit of heavy equiptment on the ramp. despite this, there was a clear path to the ramp, and room enough to launch. there were fences surrounding the vehicles and equiptment, but not a single "no tresspassing" sign leading to the ramp, ramp path and dock.

also, the dep has posted new regulation signs, hinting they expect some fishing traffic down there.
