I was fishing in the Housatonic river on Saturday and while trolling I hooked into a fishing line that was atached to a rod and reel. They are in nice shape and don't look to have been in the water very long. I haven't had time to post this but got around to it today. I am teaching my 9 year old about honesty. He wanted to keep it and I told him we could if we tried to find the owner first- He agreed that was a good idea.

I cleaned the reel and lubed it so it wouldn't get ruined. I was pretty far up the river and it was low to no salt where I was. (catching some big fish too I might add). If you lost a set up please email me the rod and reel description and the location in the river you lost it. If you know someone who lost one let them know someone may have found it. We hope to find the owner. I'd be pretty upset if I lost one of my rods....Happy fishing.
